Coil-build a pair of ceramic candlestick holders in a single evening. This is a beginner-friendly handbuilding pottery workshop in Denver: no wheel, no experience needed, just clay, your hands, and a matched set of handmade candle holders to take home.
Taught by Tess Chatfield, a Denver ceramic artist who has been teaching ceramic handbuilding classes in Denver and the Bay Area for three years. You will wedge clay, roll coils, cut slab bases, then build and smooth two candlestick holders, shape the cup at the top where the candle sits, and add texture to finish.
