What's the parking situation at Claya?

We have 5 parking spots directly in front of the studio on Walnut Street

There is street parking on surrounding streets.

I can't pick up my final glazed work or I haven't finished my class projects — what should I do?

Claya will send you a class-wide email when your pottery has completed the final firing stage and is ready to be picked up.

Bisqueware and Glazeware must be picked up within 2 weeks of your class ending or it will be donated. Earthenware is recycled or prepared for bisque firing by students on the final day of class.

Student work is stored on labeled class shelves — look for the shelf with your class date and time.

How does Open Studio work?

On the first day of your class, your instructor will issue you a personalized key-code that gives you 24/7 access to the Claya pottery studio. The code will expire on the last day of your class.

The key-code grants the specific, registered-student access to the studio. If a student would like to bring a guest, the guest should first purchase a membership or class online.

Open Studio Guest Policy for Students & Members: Only from 2pm-9pm

For insurance and liability reasons, Students and Members are not allowed to bring guests to the Claya studio using their key-code outside of the hours of 2pm-9pm.

If a Student or Member would like to show their friend or family member their work, they can invite the person to the weekly studio tour, held at 9am every Saturday. Or, the Student/Member can bring their guest during the hours of 2pm-9pm.

In order to maintain a calm community space, we ask that only registered Students and Members access the Claya Studio outside of the hours of 2pm-9pm.

Claya also asks that any Guests visiting the studio between the hours of 2pm-9pm refrain from touching any work or equipment. If the Guest would like to learn or practice ceramics, they must sign up for a class or membership.
