Do I need to reserve a spot?
No need. Come during any of the listed Open Studio hours during your course, check in with the staff member on duty, and find an open wheel or table.
What's included during Open Studio?
Pottery wheels and handbuilding tables, shared tools (ribs, trimming tools, bats, sponges, wires), studio glazes, student shelving for work in progress, and firing for work that follows our studio guidelines. Clay is provided: we stock Rocky Mountain BMX and Claya's House Clay for student use.
Can I use my class clay during Open Studio?
Yes, and you won't need to buy any. We keep the studio stocked with Rocky Mountain BMX and Claya's House Clay for students to use, in class and during Open Studio alike.
What should I bring?
Tools, aprons, and towels are all provided, so you can come empty-handed. Just wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting messy.
Can beginners use Open Studio?
Absolutely, it's built for all levels, especially beginners. Repetition on the pottery wheel can be really helpful and fun. Open Studio is a great time to experiment, practice, and try new techniques.
Can I drop in without taking a class or being a member?
Not at this time. Open Studio is for enrolled students, and membership is the route to independent studio access.
