Our ceramics studio in the RiNo Arts District offers wheel throwing classes, open studio time, memberships for around-the-clock access, and private group events in a bright, spacious 6,000-square-foot workshop.

Classes and Membership

Start with our Intro to Wheel Throwing course, a six-week program that takes you through every step from centering clay to pulling your first bowl to glazing a finished piece. Classes cap at twelve students so the experience stays personal. From there, Wheel Throwing II builds on your foundation with more complex forms and techniques. If you prefer unstructured time at the wheel, Open Studio sessions let you work independently with access to all our equipment and kiln firing. Our 24/7 membership is the best deal for anyone who wants to make pottery a regular part of life — at the founding rate of $140 per month, you can come and go whenever inspiration hits, day or night. We also offer private events for groups of eight to twenty-four, ideal for date nights, birthday celebrations, or team building.

Getting Here from Uptown

Getting to Claya from Uptown is quick and painless. Take Park Avenue north — it runs almost directly from the heart of Uptown into RiNo. Alternatively, head north on York Street and cut west on Walnut. Either route is about ten minutes in normal traffic. We are at 3440 Walnut Street, Denver CO 80205, Street parking is available near the studio.

One of the best parts of taking a class at Claya is that you get to explore RiNo while you are here. Before your session, grab a bite at Work and Class for hearty, family-style plates, or pick up a coffee at Middle State Coffee. After class, Odell Brewing's RiNo taproom is a great spot to unwind, and the Denver Central Market offers a little bit of everything if you cannot decide what you are in the mood for.
