Edgewater is one of Denver's best-kept secrets: a tight-knit community with a small-town feel, completely surrounded by the city. With the Edgewater Public Market anchoring the neighborhood and Sloan's Lake just steps away, Edgewater residents appreciate local character and thoughtful experiences. If you have been curious about pottery, Claya is just 15 minutes east in Denver's RiNo Arts District, and our studio offers the kind of hands-on, welcoming environment that feels right at home for this community.

Why Edgewater Residents Love Claya

Living in Edgewater means you already understand the appeal of a walkable, community-centered neighborhood, and Claya carries that same spirit. Our studio is a gathering place where you learn alongside other students, share tips at the glaze table, and leave with something you made yourself. The 15-minute drive east on 20th Avenue or 26th Avenue puts you right in the heart of RiNo without any highway hassle. Many Edgewater residents pair their pottery class with an evening stroll through the murals and galleries nearby.

Classes and Membership

Our Intro to Wheel Throwing course is where most students begin. Over six weeks, you will learn to center, pull, and shape clay on the wheel, working at your own pace in a class of no more than 12. For students who want to refine their skills further, Wheel Throwing II introduces more advanced techniques and forms. Our 24/7 memberships let you practice whenever inspiration strikes, with a founding rate of $140 per month for personal storage and full access to our glazes, tools, and kilns.
