Classes and Membership

Our Intro to Wheel Throwing course covers six weeks of focused instruction -- you will learn to center, pull, trim, and glaze, finishing the course with pieces you made entirely yourself. Advanced Beginner Wheel goes deeper for students who want to push their craft. Every class also includes student open studio during your course, Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays 10 AM to 6 PM.

Our studio membership is $140 per month and comes with your own keycode to the studio. Classes are capped at a small group of students so everyone gets hands-on attention from the instructor, and we host private pottery events and parties for groups of any size.

Getting Here from Sunnyside

Head southeast on Tejon Street toward the Highlands, then cut east on 38th Avenue into RiNo. Alternatively, take Federal Boulevard south to 38th and head east from there. Either route takes about eight minutes and avoids the highway entirely. The studio is at 3440 Walnut Street between 34th and 35th. Street parking is available near 38th and Blake, and the 38th & Blake A Line station is a short walk away.

Chubby Cattle, just across Federal on the edge of Sunnyside, is a hot pot and barbecue restaurant that has become a neighborhood destination -- great for a pre-class meal with friends. Allegro Coffee Roasters on Tejon is a calm, well-crafted spot for a coffee on your way to the studio. And Prost Brewing on 33rd, right between Sunnyside and RiNo, serves authentic German-style beers in a cheerful biergarten that is perfect for a post-pottery pint.
