Claya Studio Update: Final Buildout + Founding Memberships

We’re getting close.

After months of planning, buildout, and refining every detail, Claya is entering the final phase before opening. The space is coming together as intended — not just as a pottery studio, but as a place to build a creative routine, develop a craft, and spend time making something real.

Final Systems + City Sign-Off

As part of our final approvals, we received feedback from the Denver Fire Department regarding our occupancy classification (Group F). Based on that guidance, we are completing the installation of a sprinkler monitoring system and final fire protection components to meet current code requirements.

This is one of the last steps before opening, and once complete, the studio will be fully cleared from a life safety and permitting standpoint.

Opening Timeline

We are targeting an opening in approximately 45 days.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be finalizing inspections, completing the studio setup, and preparing the space for both classes and independent work.

Founding Memberships (Limited Release)

To mark the opening of Claya, we’ll be releasing a limited number of Founding Lifetime Memberships.

These memberships will be offered at $140/month, with that rate locked in for as long as your membership remains active.

This initial group will shape the culture of the studio from day one.

Claya is built around more than just access to equipment. It’s about:

  • Identity — becoming someone who works with their hands
  • Routine — showing up consistently and making time for creative work
  • Community — being around others who are serious about learning and making
  • Something real — producing physical objects that exist beyond a screen

Founding members will be the first to experience the studio as it was designed: a focused, well-equipped environment for both learning and independent practice.

Availability will be limited and released in a small initial group.

What We’re Building

Claya is designed to support both structured classes and open studio work. Whether you’re learning for the first time or returning to ceramics after years away, the goal is the same: to create a space where people can develop skill, build consistency, and stay engaged over time.

This isn’t a drop-in activity — it’s a place to return to.

What’s Next

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be:

  • Completing final fire system installation and inspections
  • Finishing the studio layout and workflow
  • Preparing for our first classes and member onboarding

We’ll share updates as we move toward opening.

If you’re interested in securing a founding membership, keep an eye out for the official release.

We’ll see you in the studio soon.
