Come make in RiNo at 3440 Walnut Street, Denver, CO 80205. Most people Learn the wheel, then keep going through a class or workshop before membership. This post is what “your shelf” actually means at $140.

What “your shelf” means at $140

Extended Founding is billed monthly, with a 2-month minimum. After month two you can cancel on your own terms. Membership access starts once you are signed and keyed.

  • Your own keycode and a designated shelf, about 48 inches long by 18 inches wide by 12 inches tall
  • Wheels, slab roller, extruder, wedging tables, worktables, and community tools
  • At least 21 dipping glazes and a ROYGBIV palette of underglazes for members
  • Free bisque firing. Glaze firing is free through December 31, 2026; after that, members get 500 cubic inches free each month, then $0.04 per cubic inch. Bisque firing stays free. Not required to join. Live details: studio membership and membership FAQ.

    How you start

Buy Extended Founding online whenever you are ready. Then come in for your first session the same day, during Retail Studio Hours, or email info@clayastudios.com to pick a time. On that visit: member agreement, shelf, keycode, and a quick show-around. Once you are signed and keyed, you have independent studio access with your keycode.

We ask for at least one beginner class, or equivalent experience, so you can work safely on your own. Membership is practice after you can already work independently: Learn the wheel, then keep going.

    Membership versus a class

Six-week Intro to Wheel is $300–$325. A course is instruction plus student open studio during the session. Membership is the month-to-month shelf after you know the basics.

Retail Studio Hours (not the membership hook)

Retail Studio Hours: Monday, Thursday, and Friday 10am–6pm; Saturday 10am–6pm; Sunday by appointment. Those are staffed shop hours, not a marketing claim for unlimited access. After setup, members have keycode access for independent studio time; that keycode access is 24/7. Student open studio for enrolled students is separate (Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays 10am–6pm).
